Well it has been a while since I last posted. I thought I was having allergy issues thanks to the winds that have picked up in our area. I also thought that change in weather was causing me to have the same issues as I have always had. Um, I was wrong. Who knows what happened? All I know is that I usually think things are allergies, then it ends up a cold. This time I thought it was a cold, and it actually turned out to be allergies. None-the-less I probably worked myself up into these issues thanks to lack of sleep and stress over my mole removal and biopsy.
I had my mole fully removed on Thursday. I currently have three stitches in the place where skin use to be. I spent some time with my dad and I told him that his tough daughter was more scared than I thought I would be over the situation. It made me think. A lot of prayers, and talking things through has really helped me out. Too bad, I had myself totally worked up. I will know in a week or two what the results are. They will know if I need to have more removed or what. I told my students that I had a doctors appointment last thursday, and they have me dying. Rather touching, but I had to assure them that it was nothing. I must have come off convincing because we were laughing and smiling when I left for the doctor's on Thursday. The down side is that I didn't go to work on Friday, so they are probably freaking out. I have lots of explaining to do.
While I was at home on Friday because I knew I couldn't drive myself to work, I received a phone call from the VP. The darn basketball coach is trying to hog the gym this summer, so I have to track the darn guy down and beat him up. There are only two female coaches (I think three now) out of all the sports, and I am the only one who is the most vocal. Um, I am sorry I coach volleyball in the gym. Volleyball comes before basketball, have you heard of title nine. Thank you for playing. We will see what happens when I call him on Monday. He is going to hear it from me.
Obviously, I have taken a short break from running. My poor head couldn't handle sitting, laying, standing, or moving for that matter. I don't think it could have handled anything more. Hehehe The funny thing about the mole removal was that I asked how long I had to lay off running. I think it cracked up the doctor. The comment he made next was "you don't look like a runner." Jokingly, I told him that he hasn't been to a road race lately because not many runners look like runners. He got the point. He told me that I had to lay off running for two days. Depending on how I feel tomorrow, will depend on if I go for a walk. I want to ease back into working out. I don't want to send myself in a spiral down hill that is for sure.
Happy Trails!!
